The crisp morning air greeted us at dawn as we set out for Papi Land. We were unaware this early start would lead to an unexpected, life-changing encounter.

We found a trembling stray sheepdog. She had visible ribs and eyes full of hunger. She looked unsure whether to flee or stay.
